Dear members,

 

 

we would like to inform you that due to some personal circumstances, we have decided to cancel the Rookie Cup tournament scheduled at this time.

 

We apologize for any inconvenience this decision may cause and we hope to have the opportunity soon to organize a stronger and better event.

 ------------ update 1 (19.06.) -----

 

In the last few days we had many new teams signing up and that also means we now have a waiting list in both disciplines (WD & MD). Because of this teams with low priority players (Henrik Tournament participants, young and adult league players, other internal tournament winners, …) will most likely end on the waiting list.

 

The tournament mode for MD will be little bit different than last few times. In order to speed up the process we will separate the players in two groups where the top teams will later on compete against each other in new formed groups. We still want everybody to play at least 5 times. There are no KO rounds, no worries. More on this next time.

 

Thank you everybody for your patience and great interest in the tournament so far. Next time we can hopefully publish the final list of registered participants!

Tournament mode
 
Team tournament, only doubles disciplines (WD&MD). Swiss-system tournament, means no KO rounds and everybody got to play same amount of games (at least 5).

 

Before the tournament
- Sharing home made food at internal tournaments is a VfB Kiefholz tradition and we don’t want to disappoint here! Please prepare or at least buy some food. Discovering meals from different cultures is tasty and fun at the same time.

At the tournament
- Please use only proper ONLY INDOOR SHOES inside the gym.
- We will prepare tables for your food. Please write a note with the ingredients for people with allergies or vegetarians and similar.
- Pay 10€ per person in cash or Paypal to the organizers (tournament fee).
- It’s OK to warm up a bit before your game but please don’t take too much time as we want to finish on time.

After the tournament
- If you have some spare time please help us putting back the equipment and cleaning the gym. Thanks!

Only full teams (both player names) are accepted. In case you are missing a partner but you still want to play, please contact Fadi or Darko.
No regular league players allowed, last tournaments winners (1st-3rd) are on low priority, same goes for participants of the 2025 Henrik Cup. Maximum number of teams is 18 (+ waiting list).
